A gate to another dimension has burst open, and from it emerge gigantic invincible creatures that threaten all of humanity. Earth's only defense is a mysterious group of warriors who have co-opted the alien technology in order to fight back! I recently began watching this show, and I honestly fell in love with it immediately. While it's not the most beautifully-drawn anime out there, it definitely gets the point across, and I'm personally more involved in the story rather than the style, anyway. The story itself is very unique in its own way, that it doesn't completely rely on its monsters to keep the plot moving. There are segments that could have been planned out a little better, yes, but isn't that the case with all anime at least once? The characters are all very lovable, and the battle scenes will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. As stated before, there are times when the plot moves along a bit slower than it probably should, often interrupting battle scenes to provide commentary and such. Once you get past the initial slow progression of the plot, it really is a deep, fun story that I enjoyed the entire time. In my personal opinion, the show is very underrated and doesn't get the attention I believe it deserves. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who might be interested. This show deserves 9 or above.Unlike other anime the fillers are minimized. The plot and people are pretty realistic.I totally loved it.
