The life at a suburban Sydney pizzeria.
I have visited OZ twice, and was shown the TV series by Aussie friends. As a real sitcom buff, and a taste for anarchy on screen, I took to the show immediately, no that's an understatement, I bloody loved it!
On my return to OZ I looked out for it again, and SBS began to show it and it was as good as I remembered.
I discovered the film, and was very excited to sit and watch it. Unfortunately it just didn't live up to my expectations, and I didn't find it particularly funny. I enjoyed the characters as I always would, but I would have bought a copy to bring home even if I had thought it to be just OK, but the fact that it wasn't worth it says a lot. I am desperate to obtain copies of the series on DVD, but as far as I know they hadn't/haven't made them. This is a great shame as I would love to introduce friends here to the show.

Wont be to everyones taste, but i absolutely love FAT PIZZA the movie! used to watch it on SBS in Australia, and miss it dearly, just wish one of the British networks, or satellite stations would show it! cant really say there's much of a plot. but you've got a pizza place ran by these lebs/greeks/Italian type guys, in somewhere like Bankstown (a superb of Sydney with a bit of a reputation)but it's just laugh after laugh after laugh, seriously.
If you enjoy Fat Pizza The Movie, you can also get hold of FAT PIZZA UNCENSORED on DVD too. The humor isn't exactly PC at times, but i just laugh my arse off at some of the stuff in it, along with anybody here i've shown it too that's never seen the series before (as it's not shown on uk TV) but i say give it a go, you may like it. its big and it;s Cheesy!
