Two years after the events of the Fourth Great Ninja War, the moon that Hagoromo Otsutsuki created long ago to seal away the Gedo Statue begins to descend towards the world, threatening to become a meteor that would destroy everything on impact. Amidst this crisis, a direct descendant of Kaguya Otsutsuki named Toneri Otsutsuki attempts to kidnap Hinata Hyuga but ends up abducting her younger sister Hanabi. Naruto and his allies now mount a rescue mission before finding themselves embroiled in a final battle to decide the fate of everything.
Two years after the fourth great ninja war the moon begins to descend towards the earth threatening to destroy everything upon impact, During the commotion Hanabi Hyuga is kidnapped by the alien Toneri, Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyuga, Sai, Sakura Harino and Shikamaru Nara must rescue her but due to the circumstances Hinata Hyuga leaves everyone else to go with Toneri to save Hanabi, Naruto finally realises that he loves her and will do everything to get her back. This film mainly focuses on Naruto and Hinata and the love story they have.
Let me first start off by saying I have been following Naruto since the series first came out and I have always been a huge fan of the NaruHina pairing. As we all know the Naruto series does not go very deep into romance, so when I heard that a film was in the works for a romance movie involving Naruto and Hinata I was ECSTATIC. After watching the film, I am very disappointed.
What I liked. 1) The Naruto/ Hinata moments. I loved the part when they were traveling through the bubbles with all the memories. I also loved when Naruto made his confession to Hinata. 2) I absolutely loved how they used "The Rising Fighting Spirit" soundtrack from the original Naruto series. The soundtracks from the original Naruto series are way better than the ones from Shippuden. 3) The credits and the ending was very cute.
What I did not like. 1) Terrible plot. The plot was simply just way too clique. Typical save the world stuff with a few NaruHina moments. This movie would have been better if they made this movie a pure romance movie with little fighting. Like have them go on C and D rank missions and have a more NaruHina moments. 2) The main villain was a boring, shallow character. On top of that he was weak. Obito and Madara could kill this guy in a second. 3) The fighting was very mundane. 4) Kakashi and Sasuke, two of the top 5 most popular characters, got a combined 5 minutes of screen time. 5) The only characters that had a role in this movie were Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, Sai and Shikamaru. For goodness sake Rock Lee got one scream. 6) They were fighting on the moon. Like really?

This Movie was awful, I do not know where these good ratings come from. There should check the user. From yahoo JP site the review around 2.8 of 5. I have not seen for a long time Naruto and learned that it be end last year. There have been lots of spoilers to the chapters and a Movie. I thought it was a joke and would never have thought. When I came out I have both read the chapters and had a bad feeling. Not only the characters have not evolved to the positive rather to the negative, but the story has changed dramatically.
For me, this is an alternative universe with a false history. Let's go first to the main characters. Naruto is not following the manga and is unrecognizable; Sakura has given up her love to him because rivalry to Sasuke. Sasuke appeared for under few minutes and Hinata was a main character , although she was the whole series a side character.if she was so important why she was not selected as the main characters in the series. Many important Characters were taken out, and not even mentioned. For some inexplicable reason, all the characters at the end of manga up with various people and have ridiculous children, although a majority of people have never had a contact with another.

In the Movie Hinata is first Bond, Love, and a good Friend although the manga says otherwise. Naruto knew kage bunshin no jutsu at the age of 5 years, but here is the Problem in the Manga contradicts it. A lot People say he can use it, but then the question why does Naruto in his first chapters need to steal the scroll if he had this similar Jutus already. This movie has so many plot holes that you should ask yourself seriously,would you recommend this to a friend.

I am quite disappointed with this end of manga and the last movie. Kishimoto should have brought Naruto with Sakura and Hinata and Sasuke with Karin.There would no pairing war. It would not have been such nonsense.

The prologue relates the story of Hagaromo and the conflict between his two sons Ashura and Indra and their spiritual descendants: Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju, Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki. The background to THE LAST focuses on Hagaromo's brother Hamura and his blood descendants: Toneri of the Otsutsuki Clan and Hinata of the Hyuuga Clan. The film concentrates on the relationships and conflicts between Hamura's blood descendants and Hagaromo's spiritual descendant Naruto Uzumaki. Two years before the events of this film, Naruto and Sasuke had a final battle (this is depicted in the film's prologue). The two performed one final attack against each other, the powerful backlash destroying Naruto's right forearm (with Sasuke destroying his left forearm in the process). Later, Naruto's lost limb got replaced by an prosthetic arm, wrapped in bandages. He has been exploring the world with his newfound perspective, as well as searching for any hidden threats that may plague humanity in the future. The manga series referred to Naruto's chakra as the color yellow. The anime series portrayed this chakra in blue. This film takes the manga's portrait.
