The year is 1945, the closing stages of WW2, and a German scientist by the name of Klausener is working on a frightening new technology that has the power to create an immortal Nazi army. Flash forward to present day, and a NATO task force is hurriedly deployed to Eastern Europe, where a sinister enemy appears to be mercilessly killing everything in its path. But this is no ordinary foe. Only Helena, a gutsy investigator on the trail of the notorious war-criminal Klausener, accepts the reality of that they are facing a battalion of Nazi Storm-Troopers, a veritable zombie army on the march. With the help of Wallace, a man who's been chasing Nazi secrets for years, the two of them team up with a Special Forces Unit to venture deep behind enemy lines. Their mission to fight their way back to the source of this evil army and prevent the seemingly inevitable rise of the 4th Reich.
What Outpost (2008) brought with that weird, but kinda interesting - and convoluted, to say the least - plot, Outpost: Black Sun, 4 years later, sort of... tears apart by including generic trends into the mix.
It revolves around most nations aware of what's going on at them forgotten lands and, as usual, wanting to put their dirty hands into that kinky little device that turns soldiers into super soldiers (with the side effect of them acting like a bunch of zombies). In the mix, another expendables, an unexperienced Nazi hunting girl and another engineer are looking for the device so they can save the world.
Some plot twists here and there, but yeah, movie is kinda watchable, if you like B horror movies.
One thing that I never understood is why they could literally survive through years and years as super-ghostlike-soldiers, but they chose to fight bare handed and not bring any of their arsenal with them. No-brainer.
Oh, and that "Star Wars"-ish scene... downranked a solid 4 stars into 3.
Overall, meh entry for the Outpost series. Watch it only if you are up for watching the whole series.

I have a mix feeling after watching this movie...I cannot say I liked this movie as the first part. This movie definitely lacks a strong cast regardless of how well the actors performed in this movie it does lacks a strong character (Like Ray Stevenson in the 1st part). I can surely say I wasn't on the edge of my seats so it turned out to be a little disappointing for me as my expectation were high. Location, action scenes all reminds of the 1st part however, the tension was less and it was predictable. All in all a one time watch and those who haven't seen the 1st part may b they might enjoy this one better as everything will be new for em! For the rest...Its just a watchable movie...
