Two thieves, a magician, a computer hacker, a wannabe actor and a explosives expert plan a robbery to fulfill the dream of Victor Braganza. Will they be successful or will destiny have something different for them?
Charlie and his friend Rhea are biggest thieves.Charlie receives a letter from his late friend's Raj's wife which mentions gold will be transferred from Russia to Romania in a train.Charlie discusses it with Victor Briganza a robin hood type thief who has taken care of many orphans one of them being Charlie he dreams to build an orphanage for these kids.His daughter Naina loves Charlie but is unaware of Charlie and her father's activities.Charlie teams up with a magician Ronnie,Spider a computer hacker,Bilal an explosive expert and Sunny a wannabe actor for the great robbery and to fulfill wish of Victor .The team becomes successful in looting the gold from the train.But Spider double crosses them he sends his men to kill Victor as soon he is out of jail who is shot dead in front of Naina.Charlie and the team is waiting up for the next step after the robbery where in Spider and his man attack them killing Ronnie and Rhea.A year later surviving members Charlie,Bilal and Sunny locate Spider who is living a lavish lifestyle in New Zeland with the gold,This time Naina to teams up with them to revenge her father's death.
I have watched both the Italian job (1969 & 2003).....what i was expecting here was the Indian version of Italian job....and honestly i was not disappointed.....movie was fast, thrilling and beautifully shot....the twists were same as original with few added twists which were not as effective neither in positive way nor negative way....
Neil was given the role which Edward Norton played in original....he acted good but still something was missing in his performance...AB was good and performed as a tough guy as he has done in his earlier movies...he looked comfortable in this role...bipasha is getting monotonous in her recent flicks but still she had brilliant screen presence but her character in this movie was not that strong...sonam looked hot in this movie but that was the only good part about her because she doesn't know how to act...bobby deol was good in his brief role...sikandar kher was decent...johnny lever and omi vaidya provided few laughs... overall this movie was fast paced thriller and had all the ingredients to be a successful mass entertainer...movie was beautifully shot....little unrealistic as its original version but still complete paisa vasool...better than recent no brainers which provide crap on the name of comedy.....

OK!! So abbas mustan are here after a long gap of 3 years with a remake of Italian Job which surely deserves a Bollywood remake!! A little nuance here, a spicy song there and some desi style comedy but all that we got is a khichadi of Hollywood and Bollywood. Director is surely the captain of the ship but this time even the charismatic duo of a abbas- mustan were also unable to save the ship. The male protagonist played by Abhishek Bachhan is the most weakest of performances. Probably he is not tailor made for such action flicks and cheesy dialogues. Bobby Deol who has played so many blinders in duo's thrillers has a very little role and dialogues to impress the audience but still he does a decent enough job. Bipasha Basu and Sonam Kapoor are mere pieces of eye candy and thus don't have much to play with. Although Bipasha did justice with her role. The only saving grace about the movie was Neil Nitin Mukesh. I mean this boy has got some real talent and with this antagonists role he has done no damage to his image whatsoever. The technology part that is shown in the movie is all superficial and the director never tries to show the audience how particular thing is happening although its practically impossible to show each and every part but at least an effort was required there. Even the hardcore Bollywood lover would also say that there are too many bloopers to ignore. Even the songs are of average level and no signs of them even getting to a hit level and the most that they manage to do is to break the rhythm of the movie just when you think, OK, the movie is catching some pace. All in all a disaster from Abbas-Mustan and not even a one time watch for many. PROBABLY, bollywood film makers should now think twice before remaking such high intense projects.
