An ex-convict (Tyrese) gets tangled up with a gang after his car is hijacked with his son inside.
"I'll always come back for you," single father O2 tells his young son Junior. This parental promise is put to the test when O2 is suddenly plunged into a do-or-die situation; trying to go straight for Junior's sake, this recently paroled ex-con is forced to go back outside the law after his son is kidnapped in a carjacking. The resulting chase and shootout have left Junior in the hands of Meat, the vicious leader of the Outlaw Syndicate. O2's shady cousin Lucky tries to mediate, but is caught between criminal and family loyalties. The only person who can or will help O2 get his son back is wily street-smart hustler Coco, whose path fatefully crossed O2's just moments before the kidnapping. When Lucky gets word to O2 that Meat expects $100,000 for Junior's freedom, O2 and Coco seize the opportunity to pit rival elements of the South Los Angeles underworld against each other. "It's either all or nothing," realizes O2. With the clock ticking down, the heat between O2 and Coco rises as they become a lawbreaking couple, on an tear through a range of Los Angeles neighborhoods. Can they outwit the underworld and save Junior and themselves?
This is a real cool movie, take it from me i don't think another rapper comes close to acting good then The Game in this movie. I mean Ice Cube is good but The Game out done himself this time. Tyrese has a good role in this movie and story plot is good but not really "NEW". Same old story line but with a great new twist. Laurenz Tate is also a very good actor but not as well as his other movies like Menace II Society. The Game has really put a new prospection to the gangster genre by adding himself to this great film and bringing reality to the T.V You have to pay respect where respect is due and it is surely due here and with all the casting actors in this film specially Compton Rapper The Game.
The Game sucks, so does this movie, he is a wannabe gangster scare face typical cliché rapper. Why can't anyone be original. Enough already be creative for a change let alone unique instead of following the typical trends.
don't waste your money on seeing this, you are better off buying gasoline then a admission to this movie. There are plenty of better movies out there, nacho libre, x men, click, superman. or go rent a movie

To be fair Deep does have one thing going for it. While the movie never seems to end, and when it does… oh man. Think "Aquaman" meets "Training Day." It proves that sometimes a crappy drama is sometimes just a comedy in disguise.
