Prior to Kal-El being sent from the Planet Krypton prior to its destruction, Jor-El sent the boy's beloved dog, Krypto, up first as the passenger of a test rocket. However, an accident sent the dog into suspended animation until his rocket arrived at Earth, years after Kal-El's arrival. Gaining the standard Kryptonian powers in the planet's yellow sun environment, Krypto soon gets adopted by a lonely boy, Kevin Whitney with the personal permission of Superman. Now together with new found allies, Ace The Bathound and Streaky the Supercat, Krypto fights the forces of evil which include the animal companions of Lex Luthor and The Catwoman.

Me and my sister used to watch this show alot when we were young I was about 7 and my sister about 12. When this show aired a rerun on CBBC in the UK we always watched it together.
If you have a young kid who wants to get into DC I would recomand this show instead of Teen Titans Go! or DC Super Hero Girls here are the reasons why:
Cute animation and character designs
Good lessons
I can only remember one episode where it talked down to kids but other then that it doesn't talk down to them
Shows what is right and wrong unlike Teen Titans Go!
Overall good show for kids
as mention one of the reviews above this show can be hard to watch because of bad aspects having to do with kids like patronizing them an other stuff like that and adding plot twist like the one episode where the the boy who gets to keep krypto as a pet Kevin gets into situations having to do with his cousin,and other things like that.,but other than that this show does have qualities that make up for it but I won't spoil it you just have to watch it yourself and find out. but its just so odd that kid friendly DC shows have to end up like this most of the time. I love children cartoons without a care in the world what anyone thinks(I'm 21) but the plot lately with kid shows seems bad. if not brutal.
