When a full-scale war is engaged by the evil Scarran Empire, the Peacekeeper Alliance has but one hope: reassemble human astronaut John Crichton, once sucked into the Peacekeeper galaxy through a wormhole. Crichton's task: Get the entire Peacekeeper race to safety before the last war of an era brings and end to the universe.
Full-scale galactic war has broken out between the cold-blooded Peacekeepers and the monstrous Scarrans. The only hope for the billions of innocents caught in the crossfire lies with John Crichton and the crew of Moya, who try to revive the long dormant Eidelons, a race rumored to be able to influence Peace in others.
Now, I was never fan of Farscape. The show had great ideas, and lot's of potential, but it got ruined by bad writing, So, it got canceled, for unknown reason. The whole series end in a shocking way.
This movie starts in a way that insults my intelligence. Now, the cliffhangers in Farscape may have been resolved in a stupid way, but this was demented.
Next, the story was utterly dull. They finished all plot-lines, that's cool. But it was all forced, and unbelievable. And the ending, although cool in it's way, lacked the feeling of grandeur the plot in the series tried to build.
Also, for fans of the series, one thing it's going to make you very angry, but I don't wanna spoil anything.
So, if it wasn't for the cool FX, this would have been 1. I would never recommend this to anyone.
As a fan from the very beginning, I found "Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars" to be a satisfying and hugely enjoyable conclusion(???) to the grand voyage that is Farscape. From the stunning space battles, to the wonderful character repartee we love, and everything in between, it was a well crafted and eminently worthy replacement for a 5th season that never was. It truly honors the past and opens a fresh wormhole nexus leading to endless imagination....or possibly future episodes. Hey, we can always dream and Farscape is the stuff dreams are made of, right?!
