Businessman, Brahmdutt lives with his wife, Sujata and is not in favor of the love interest his only daughter, Sonu shows towards a young man named Indrajeet Sabharwal, whose character seems very suspicious. This objection then forces Sonu to consume an overdose of sleeping pills thus forcing her parents to accept the match. After the wedding; nothing is the same for the family anymore as Brahmdutt's fear started to come through when Indrajeet first created a rift between him and his business partners, Premchand and Mushtaque Ali. Then Brahmdutt is eventually sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for the murder of Premchand making the way clear for Indrajeet to destroy the last of the Dutt's family's happiness. Brahmdutt, a rich Steel Baron is falsely convicted in the murder of his best friend and business partner Premchand. When in prison, Brahmdutt finds out from sources that his son in law Indrajeet has conspired to get him caught so he can take over his empire. Brahmdutt avenges that once he is free he will take full revenge from Indrajeet. To take revenge Brahmdutt is helped by Vijay, Indrajeet's own deserted son. Izzatdar is a great movie and is very underrated in Bollywood. Dilip Kumar is fantastic and gives a splendid performance. His character has shades of the "Angry young man" that Amitabh portrayed. But Dilip is the angry old man in this film. Govinda who also gives a great performance is the angry young man in this film. The bad guy in this movie was very good. He was quite different compared to the typical bad guys in 80s bollywood. Madhuri looked beautiful in this film and does give a good performance. Otherwise Anupam Kher was another superstar in this movie. I really liked this film a lot. I i recommend this to anybody who hasn't seen this film to give it a go. 646f9e108c
