It's the Year of the Dragon! Every tweleve years, Dragon Kingdom has a festival where the fairies deliver a new batch of dragon eggs to the Dragon Worlds. But this year is a little different. Far away, on the opposite side of the world, an evil Sorceress plans on using the eggs for her evil magic. So all 150 eggs are stolen by her army of Rhynocs and her disciple, Bianca. It's up to Spyro, Sparx, and Hunter the Cheetah to get them back.
After 150 dragon eggs are stolen by an evil sorceress and her army of rhinocs; Spyro embarks on an adventure to rescue the eggs.
Spyro: Year Of The Dragon to this day remains my favorite game. Everything about it is great. The graphics, the levels, the mini-games, the music, the characters, and everything else. It is without a doubt the PsOne's best game, and the best game in the Spyro series, after Insomniac stopped making them and the games were taken over by a different company who made them terrible, hard, and just stupid. Spyro Year Of The Dragon is a wonderful platformer that I prefer over Ape Escape any day. You should definitely play this game, so screw Ape Escape and any other PsOne platform game that isn't in the Spyro series.

This game is the best Spyro game out of the whole bunch. I've been a PlayStation kid forever and this is one of my fondest memories I've had with the original PlayStation. With everything from good gameplay, different variety of playable characters, and a good story, this game is an instant classic.
