Jennifer is at fault in a minor accident. She and Jonathan are shocked when the victim dies due to complications, and then are sued by the grieving widow. One bad apple gives tort law a bad name here in this last episode of Season 3 when the Rolls rear ends a guy whose sole purpose was to get rear ended in the first place. As the guy plays it up big time for the insurance claim, the puppetmaster behind it all (veteran character actor Lawrence Pressman) offs the guy. Special appearance made by an original Pac Man video game. Extra Special appearance by a business card with oodles of interesting personal info on Jonathan Hart. Best dialogue of the episode --> Jonathan: "The Lieutenant also made it very clear that he didn't want us to be involved in police work. He said if there's something going on that we --" Jennifer: "I know. We should leave it up to the police." Jonathan: "Right." Most interesting, however, is that we appear to have learned Max's last name. The show gets itself into a pickle when they have Max sign for some documents, only to refer to that signature as a plot point later; and that name appears to me to be "Berman." Anyway, Jennifer spends the episode wallowing in guilt. When the Hart's figure out the scam, they send Max in undercover. Of course, while there, he almost gets killed, Harts to the rescue. Not that exciting an episode for the last one of the season. This episode starts with Jonathan, & Jennifer, on a fun bike ride that leads to a race home, & the two bursting into the kitchen where Max is preparing breakfast. Jennifer is shopping & unaware of a man watching her. She gets in the Rolls, not noticing the driver behind her is the man who watched her. He pulls up next to her at a stop light & when said light turns green he drives ahead, then pulls directly in front of the Rolls, & stops. Jennifer hits his car. The man goes to a hospital where he dies, & Jennifer is sued for 2 million. There are other characters in the episode that conduct illegal acts, & involve innocent characters without immediate awareness. Jennifer has strong feelings over the accident & death. Jonathan does some investigating that leads to information he shares with Jennifer. Max gets personally involved, & unbeknownst to him puts himself in the path of being the next to die. All the elements that make the show great are here, along with a personal connection. I strongly disagree with 1 other review & feel it's opinion is more related to legal issues & highly strays from an actual episode review. d6a2afd33b
