When two soldiers on the run are mistaken for war heroes and dragged into the corrupt politics of a small town, murder and mayhem follow not far behind them.
After accidentally shipping a crate of nuclear fusion triggers to Malawi, soldiers Floyd and Stu go AWOL. Back in his old home town, Floyd is mistaken as a war hero and swept up in the local mayoral election. A comically absurd chain of events forces Floyd to decide whether to keep running or face his past and go home again.
Floyd McMasters (Will Blomker) and Stu Cutshaw (Mason Hill) are in the army at a shipping center. Due to a mix up they send a crate of fusion triggers to starving Malawi instead of food. They go AWOL and end up in Townville, Floyd's home town filled with bad memories and an ex-girlfriend. At this point the film continues as an inane comedy of errors and mishaps will Will Blomker at the center of a mayoral election with a Medal of Victory given to him by a dead man.
The film was old school funny with mishap after mishap.

I wish more independent movies were like this. It's so rare to see a small movie take on action sequences and fight scenes and big ridiculous comedy. It reminded me of some of my favorite screwball comedies where anything can happen and it all somehow makes sense. It brought to mind Wes Anderson's BOTTLE ROCKET and the all time classic STRIPES.
