A movie about an unusual relationship between father and son, the fear of losing what you love and the price of negligence.
I saw "A Beautiful Mind" the night before I watched "Eddie" and I got the same vibe from both movies! It punches you right in the gut and it teared my eyes and the feeling stayed for days on end. A Very Good Movie!
It starts out in a way that you start wondering -what's this? Who are these people? The dialog is very sparse and at first I thought -please, not another Ingmar Bergman silent drama. But very soon the actors reel you in and you get more and more intrigued and start wondering about what's going to happen and before you know it, you're hooked.
The scenery, camera angles, lighting, wardrobe and the choice of shots in the different scenes are very well chosen and creates that magic that very few directors holds. The mix of heavy drama and short phrase comic dialog is ingeniously done and the score does it's work very well.
10 out of 10 in my book, well done!
