Healing powers that science cannot explain and voodoo practices that defy all logic are just some of the instances of paranormal activity that Dr. Gayatri [Bipasha Basu] is busy investigating. It beheld the power to mutate its bearer into a power beyond all reckoning.Though he first tries to evade the forces that beckon him, Varun is drawn deeper and deeper into a pact of peril. He is soon hurtled into a heady adventure and chase that takes him to the Himalayas and then into the mysterious ruins of the legendary King Ravan's palaces in Lanka. Varun digs deep to discover the secret of Rudraksh. And suddenly everything starts making sense.
During the battle between Lord Ram and Demon Ravan; Lord Ram was emerge victorious killing Ravan in the process. After his death Ravan leave behind his shield of evil powers called the Rudraksh found in a steel deity. After years of research one of the devotee of Ravan, Bhuria was able to locate this steel deity which gives him access to use the power of the Rudraksh at his own will; his meditation to the Rudraksh teaches him new powers day by day and he continues to rule the entire world with his evil designs and with the sole aim of turning every Human beings into a demon like himself. Quite unknown to Bhuria that a devotee of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman, Varun who has always impress his subjects with the curing of sickness medical science cannot cure is emerging to put an end to Bhuria and his Rudraksh rule.

This is no doubt one of the worst movies in existence... the plot is the worst crap ever cooked up by any bird brained scriptwriter. The same must be said of every other person who had anything to do with the movie. I was completely unhinged for a couple of hours after watching this movie. Right in between the innovatively $H!t lines to corny scenes between the leads, lies the plot...
a monkey typing away at random would come up with a plot good enough to beat the $H!t out of this...
The saving grace for the movie is the fact that it is so very bad that you might actually enjoy tearing it to pieces.
To finish ... it is a movie i would wish my very worst enemy to watch , strapped in a chair, with eyes fixed open ... right to the very end
I was quite surprised to hear that the film is original because it was a great idea. The movie had a lot of Indian mythology and the use of advance modern technology that looked really good. It was a bit confusing because I don't know what Rudraksh means before I saw the movie but the technology and the SFX were amazing. The casting was great & the film would be nothing without Sanjay Dutt he is certainly one of my favourite actors and I don't think I would've liked the film if he was not in it. Rudraksh is quite similar to the The Matrix like they go into another world and their hair style & clothing changes but Rudraksh was better because in The Matrix they took 2 solid hours to explain what doe's Matrix means and it was slower than my grandma but in Rudraksh they only took about 5-10 minutes to explain what Rudraksh means and was narrated by Amitabh Bachan's fantastic voice after that it was fast paced sci-fi thriller. I think it is the second Bollywood sci-fi after Koi Mil Gaya. The best scene is when Sanjay & Sunil were sword fighting on top of a tower in another dimension and Sanjay had red eyes.
Rudraksha is a seed that is said to be part of Lord Shiva's eye. "Rudra + Aksha" meaning Shiva + Eye. Mythologically the Rudraksha is created from Lord Shiva's tears which is considered as divine. It is worn by Saints & Yogis. It has some electromagnetic cosmic energy that helps in gaining spiritual powers. The Rudraksh described in the movie is not a common Rudraksh, it is Ravana's Rudraksh who was an evil entity in the Hindu mythology. Ravana has stored his powers in it. But Bhuria has owned a Rudraksh that is said to be from the Evil Rakshasha "Ravana" who was depicted as very powerful in the Hundi mythology.
