After his wife falls under the influence of a drug dealer, an everyday guy transforms himself into Crimson Bolt, a superhero with the best intentions, but lacking in heroic skills.
Frank Darrbo is a hapless fry cook. When his wife Sarah falls off the wagon and dumps him for Jacques, a drug dealer, Frank tries to get her back by reporting her kidnapped, grabbing her from Jacques' car, and wailing for her to return. After watching Christian TV and having a vision, he becomes a superhero to fight evil. He sews a costume, finds a weapon (a pipe wrench) and looks for crimes to stop. He has problems: his wrench inflicts real injury, so the cops want him for being a vigilante, his sense of boundaries is flawed, and Jacques' gang has guns. Libby, a clerk at a comic book store, becomes his sidekick, and it's time to go save Sarah. What chance do they have?
I guess this film was too weird for me. I thought it would be a funny comedy but it was just... sad and pathetic. left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I thought my husband would love it but he also hated it. We both kinda waited for it to end just to see what would happen in the end.
There was lots of splatter but not too much gore but the whole mood of the film was just so pathetic and sad you almost wanted to cry. There were no action scenes really, just a sad, pathetic guy getting hurt. There is nothing in the entire film that made me feel I was spending my time nicely. Why would anyone want to watch this? Unless if you want to get depressed?
The film itself is not bad. The actors are good, the script is good but the general mood of it is just plain awful. Just sad.
The movie has a good massage and it's funny, exciting, dramatic and epic at the same time. you can be your own superhero. you can have more perfect moments in your life if you go for it, find the truth yourself. Then you can accept it easier.
The great directing and amazing acting makes you feel that you're there. while you're gripped to the story by the great screenplay and writing. I recommend watching this movie to you, because that is the least i can do to make this awesome work a little more known, and more loved. go buy it and watch it now!i'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as i did.
Waiting for Super to deliver the funny is an experience as long as the film itself.
