Naomi Ackie's Jannah and the droid D-0 were the only new Rise of Skywalker characters spotlighted in the Celebration panel. Everyone knew that the cast included couple of other fresh faces. The officially revealed ones are: Zorri Bliss (Keri Russell) and Allegiant General Pryde (Richard E. Grant). The former one is presented as a "masked scoundrel" while the latter is a First Order officer. This will be very much awaited to see how they both fit into the narrative and provide their spin on classic Star Wars tropes. After months of rumors around, the Knights of Ren are appearing in The Rise of Skywalker which is another revelation. From these group of 123movies photos you’ll find one where Abrams is seen directing some costumed warriors where everyone is wielding their own unique weapon. From The Force Awakens, the Knights are one of the few dangling threads remaining. Hopefully with their appearance they will make some meaningful contributions to the story. It would be nice if they reverse the trend for giving "cool looking" villains little to do for the finale.
Also the veteran characters got a pretty good time to shine in the images. Another noticeable photo in the gallery is Rey and Kylo Ren's latest tangle with the two young Force users swaying their light sabers in the rain. If this is connected to the speculated "Force Flash Fights", it will be fascinating to see. Another more striking images in the gallery is Luke Skywalker standing in front of a blazing landscape with R2-D2 on his side. Without any context, it would be very difficult to say if this photo is from another flashback depicting the days of Luke's temple or something else. Some fans may be disappointed about that there isn't a glimpse of Emperor Palpatine in these photos but still there is a lot of time remaining in the Rise of Skywalker marketing campaign which may give the due.
