from web site

July 26, 2019, fans were shocked with the news of Russell Westbrook being traded to Houston Rockets from Oklahoma City Thunder. He played for the Thunder for eleven consecutive years and although this sudden change of team left people astounded, Russell Westbrook, was the kind of man who could easily pull off this change of teams. Especially when he was welcomed by James Harden which was his former team mate.

Although Russell Westbrook was widely recognized as the most stylish basketball player in the history of the NBA, he was also an undeniably great player. Speaking of which, let us try to look back at five of those greatest games of Russell Westbrook in his entire career.

Greatest Game No. 5: 58 Points Owned! This happened on March 7, 2017 when they fought against Trail Blazers. Although the game concluded with the Trail Blazers, with a score of 126, winning over the Thunder who scored 121, leaving them 5 points behind, this was still recorded to be one of his greatest games. He earned 58 points, almost half of their score, giving the Trail Blazers a hard time in winning at Chesapeake Arena.

Greatest Game No. 4: Historic Triple-Double! An overtime made them win. It was a game against the Phoenix Suns on October 28, 2016. It was his historic triple-double breakthrough. He scored 51 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. He was acknowledged to be the first player who made this, after an NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar way back 1975.

Greatest Game No. 3: Lost is Gain! On April 19, 2017, even though the Thunder lost to the Rockets by four points, it was still recorded to be one of his greatest games. He was also the first Thunder player who made the most points in a postseason game. He contributed 51 points, rebounds of 10, assisted 3 times, stole the opponent's ball by four times and blocked them.

Greatest Game No. 2: Overtime Victory! It happened on March 29, 2017 when Thunder won over Orlando Magic with 114 points. But this was not an easy victory as he forced overtime with 7.1 seconds to play. He made another historic moment in scoring 57 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists which ensured their victory spot light.

Greatest Game No. 1: Nuggets Eliminated! April 9, 2017, the Thunder vanquished the Nuggets’ chance to continue the playoffs as they scored 106 to 105, putting the Nuggets just a point away from victory. He collected 50 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists for the team. Not just that, he also scored the last eight points of the Thunder. It was the buzzer beater event of that very evening.

Now, this proved how Russell Westbrook could be so competitive and how he always made sure to get at least fifty points for his team. Although there are times that they were defeated, but they gave opponents a hard time in closing the fight. Also they made sure that the differences in scores are not by far. It Russell Westbrook only puts a thought to all players that Russell Westbrook should not be taken lightly.
