In 2011, while pursuing a solicitation about getting a lower APR on my car loan, I was directed to a local Mazda dealer (Cavalier) to have my Chevy Cavalier estimated for its value for a refinancing. While at the car dealer, I discovered that 'Cavalier' had paid that person to find me so they could get me into one of their cars.
As it turned out, there was a '07 Mazda3 owned by the proverbial, 'little old lady', which Cavalier was willing to sell to me, 'as is', for a lower monthly payment and APR rate (which I later improved upon with my credit union-Langley). The car came with tinted windows. The dealer said NOTHING to Window tint near me about those windows during the sale of the car.

Coincidentally during that time and until February 2013, I was an EVENING-NIGHT cab driver for the Hampton-Newport News Yellow Cab Company. I drove that vehicle with the 'as is' tinted windows after dark home from either just west of the corner of W. Queen St and Armistead or from the DMV Select parking lot on the other side of Armistead to my then residences in the Denbigh or Oyster Point neighborhoods of Newport News many times after 2 am.
During that time I WAS stopped because of a pre-surgical rotator cuff tear in my left shoulder that degraded my steering of the car when the shoulder was tired, and I appeared to police observers to be driving under the influence. On both times when I was stopped and let go without out ANY citations, the tint of my windows during the NIGHT was never brought up as an issue.
