Finally, though, these proportions are just a sort of exaggeration, no different compared to the giant, glittering eyes of anime, the bulging, jagged muscles of Marvel, or the noodle-y characters of Adventure Time. The blunder is in professors and professional artists claiming this manner, or any way, is the only way for individuals to appear and be drawn.
Real bodies can be very disproportionate. My girlfriend is just five and a half heads tall. But she is a real, ordinary, and proportionate individual and a more dependable model than these perfect drawings. These books helped me learn. But that's all. They are not the bible of realism the way lots of artists treat this style.
And
Following the somewhat eccentric encounter posing for the group of pupils in the cold, dimly lit bar in Manchester, my next modelling session shortly after was quite more normal. is not only the Loomis / Marvel manners. Naturalism is really popular and audiences are always claiming if your film or piece of artwork is realistic as if that were the only thing that mattered in whether or not it was enjoyable.
In the animation field, nudity in the artwork is regarded as in bad taste or meant for an adult experience. Cartoon itself has nearly no nudity in its history with the exception of a couple topless women in the occasional audacious film. Most notably Walt Disney's Fantasia has topless harpies in the Night on Bald Mountain sequence too as nude fairies in the Nutcracker Suite and topless centaur women in Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 both of whom were also missing their nipples and genitals. (On a side note, I do not count hentai or other cartoon pornography as valid animation.)
Japanese anime is generally more willing to place nudity inside their animation, but it really is infrequently in good taste and generally for affordable entertainment and fan service. One exception being an anime entitled Elfen Lied. This is initially a manga written by Lynn Okamota, which, unfortunately had more gratuitous sexuality in relation to the television variation. The storyline involved victimized women who had evolved to have psychic-like powers and were thus feared and imprisoned.
These girls (as they were mostly all female) were locked away and treated inhumanely which included keeping them unclothed. It was really this anime that truly piqued my curiosity about nudism in the first place.
Possibly, this was just because of Japan's more lax view on nudity of segregated sexes, but it definitely played to the story's edge revealing both sides; the victimhood (while imprisoned) and the independence (after getaway) that nudity may bring.

In clip games nudity is frowned upon, even more so perhaps. The only games offering nudity are titles like God of War that is very Greek in the sense that nearly every girl is topless, and every entry to the series has a sex mini-game to earn experience points.

Strangely enough, I discovered it in a Nintendo game. I bought my girlfriend a 3DS last summer (2013) with the game Animal Crossing: New Leaf and I picked up a copy for myself as well. Every so often, a fox character named Redd would visit the town and sell art.
My First Time is a game developed with kids at heart and is rated by ESRB as E for Everyone.

Here is a question: Why can't folks be nude unless they are centuries-old statues? It is fine for nudity to be in a children's game and also get an E rating, but in case a character were to seem unclothed (artistically, nearly, or only-becausedly), it's M or just prohibited completely.
So I decided I needed to create my own naturist town within Animal Crossing as best I could. The game gives the player a great amount of liberty with layouts and so I was able to at minimum, create tshirt designs that made the player characters appear topless (for both sexes), with nude cutouts and other art.
