He assembled 11 questions from members in the group about me and nudism in America and sent them to me in English to reply. He then interpreted the interview into Spanish on his blog, Eco naturismo. We thought we'd share the English version of our Q&A with our community.
1. How and why did you first begin in nudism?
I was raised a fkk with my family at a club called Rock Lodge in New Jersey. Then they purchased a house in a (fabric) neighborhood nearby, and Rock Lodge became our summer place. It actually is merely a seasonal club that shuts down in the chillier months. So growing up, I Had spend most weekends of every summer at the club. A couple of times per year, I'd also go to Gunnison Beach with buddies, which is the big nude beach in NJ.

2. Might it be true that some universities in the U.S. are open to hold fkk events and activities?
Yes, though the events and actions that come to mind aren't run by nudists or referred to as "naturist" occasions. For example, some universities have a traditional, yearly streaking occasion where a group of students will run around naked across the campus, just for fun. Some are known for having naked parties (arranged by students, not the university itself). As for more official occasions, Brown University for example hosts an annual week long event called "Nudity in the Upspace." During this week, they have lectures, discussions, nude yoga, body painting and other tasks.
I don't know of any official university fkk club, but I'll bet at least some universities would be open to having one in their roll of official clubs.
3 . What do you do in America to get young people interested in the naturist lifestyle?
Essentially we do lots of online marketing and social media, and we cater our events toward the younger demographic. We arrange workshops and courses, in addition to fun activities like our huge slip n' slide and pudding throw. We additionally have a naturist philosophy with ethos and values, not for the lone purpose of bringing young folks but I believe that does appeal to my generation (I'm 26). I believe it brings more people in general when you put meaning behind nudism, rather than simply saying, "Let Us all get naked cause it is entertaining." Of course it really is interesting, and there are many "recreational nudists" who just like being naked, but to us, nudism is about more than that. At the most basic level, it's about acceptance.

4. How was the encounter of Body Paint and Actions Artwork in Time Square?
Wonderful! You can read the recap of that event here.

I have enjoyed being a model each and every time. It is exhilarating, a bit intense sometimes, but it is a wonderful expression of liberty and body acceptance shared with the city and really, with the world, also. With no doubt it's a favorable impact both on the folks that view it as well as those who participate in it.
5. Tell us something about the fkk humor show you helped to produce.
Oh, the humor show was a fun occasion. The comedians were really cool, and had no trouble performing in front of a naked audience. One even determined to get naked during his action!
Afterward we'd Dave Attell, an extremely famous comedian, join the show. He generally charges a ton of money to perform, but came to our event because he thought it was cool. So

6.
I have just spent one weekend in Barcelona, while I was studying abroad in France. It was during the winter (but not too chilly). I adored it!
Someday I'd like to go back to Spain and see more.
7. In which areas is nudism let in America?
Well there are over 200 private clubs and resorts across the U.S., though some states do not have any clubs / resorts.
Afterward there are some official, legal nude beaches and recreation areas (including national parks, hot springs, rivers, lakes). We've very few public nude beaches when compared with European countries, but they do exist. Sadly, it's difficult to create awesome nude beaches, and the ones we have are frequently threatened by local officials wishing to shut them down (simply because they don't like it). That is why we've organizations like the Naturist Action Committee that fights anti-nudity legislation and lobbies for naturists.
And lastly, there are the unofficial, technically prohibited, locations at seashores or recreation areas. This includes places that have a longstanding tradition of skinny dipping, and it is tolerated by the town or city. But other times it might not be as accepted as a tradition, and folks would say, "Get naked at your own risk."
Nudists have to be a bit more careful at the unofficial positions and do their research beforehand. Being found naked in an illegal place can lead to fines or even arrest and jail time. In some states, public nudity charges can lead to a man being registered as a sex offender, which is a huge problem.
Sometimes nudists are even persecuted for being naked in their home or on their own property, if other people see them. I know I'm making the U.S. sound like a horrible place! Haha. But I'm certain you understand this country is quite backwards in regards to nudity.
8. Is nudism allowed in American seashores?
Not at most beaches, no. I do not know how many exactly, but there are some official, legal nude beaches in the U.S., such as in Florida and California (and Fresh Jersey). Other nude beaches are unofficial and technically prohibited, but have some sort of nude custom.
9. How do nudists in America manage to live a naturist lifestyle with their own family? How easy is it for naturist American families to find enough affordable places, where they're able to let their children to practice it?
Families do the exact same material as regular nudists. They go to clubs, resorts and beaches. In terms of affordable places, that can be challenging. And sometimes the challenge isn't the cost, but finding a location that is family-oriented / family-friendly. Or locating a spot that's "family-oriented" and really has other families present. A lot of clubs like to say they're family-friendly, but regrettably clubs have seen a decline in families with kids visiting or becoming members. I witnessed a decline in kids at my own house club, Rock Lodge, as I grew up. Nevertheless that seems to be changing there, and they seem to have had an increase in families over the last few years. Regardless, most places will let children under 18 in for free. So that helps with the price. To go to a strand remains considerably more economical for a family, but you've got to be lucky to live near a legal nude beach.
10.Do you think all shores and lakes should be clothing-optional, or you would preferably have divided locations for nudists and for textiles?
Separate regions. I really believe this is what works best, for both naturists and bathing suit people. Someday in the far future, perhaps it'll be possible to have all areas be clothes-optional and everyone will be ok with nudity and honor one another. But for now, we need to have different areasthe most basic rationale being that so many people still get offended by nudity.
11. Is there any star that supports FKK?
Have some questions about nudism in Spain? Post a question (or two) in the comments and we will choose some questions for a mini interview with Deucalion!
