I recall having a philosophical discussion in one of my classes in high school about whether it was the enormous achievements or the little things giving life meaning and happiness. So do we rely on the big moments like getting married, acquiring a fresh job, reaching your targets to determine our well-being? Or is it the small happiness like a cup of hot cider on a autumn day, going to the bank and finding there is no line, hearing among your favorite tunes come on the radio
Or is it a mix of both?
Valuing
nudists sex , delights, even surprises, that life must offer each day. What does this have to do with naturism? Well I find naturism puts me more in touch with life's simple pleasures. It exemplifies basic, enjoyable senses when nothing stands between me and the external world. Such as feeling the sun on my face. Viewing the clean water ripple out as I swim unencumbered through a lake. The pleasant smell of the trees and blossoms. Fowl. Bull frogs. Having a cup of tea each morning, bare, outdoor.
Simple Pleasures Of Naturism
To me naturism is also about simplicity and living in a simple manner. I love waking up without any worry over finding clothes to put on. The simplicity of being myself in my own uncovered body. Less laundry, no clothing to stain, no hassle of finding the right shoes, shirt, slacks to wear. No tugging, snapping, pulling or correcting of fabrics. I will take a shower and stay naked later, instead of precariously holding up my towel while I fumble for clothes to dress. Life is only simpler nude.
You may have heard of a website dedicated to life's simple pleasures called "1,000 awesome things." It got so popular that it turned into two international bestselling books. It's basically designed to remind us of all the good things we can appreciate day to day. Doing a search, I found this wonderful thing about skinny dipping that begins by saying, "You were supposed to be nude."
I discover it sums up my reflection on the simple joy of eschewing garments with:
"Occasionally slacks are a pain and shirts are a wreck and life's just a lot better when you're completely undressed."
What does one think? Is it the critical minutes or achievements, or the simple pleasures in daily living that ascertain well-being? Or both?
Does naturism remind you of the simple pleasures in life?
