Professional Boxing in America

Boxing is a popular sport where two individuals, usually with protective boxing gloves on and hand wraps worn over their hands and feet, engage in an energetic battle for supremacy in the ring. The boxing match typically consists of two rounds of four minutes each. The winner of the bout is the one who throws the most successful punches in the shortest amount of time. In an amateur boxing match, two fighters engage in a friendly contest using only punches and elbows, and regardless of whether or not they are able to hit the opponent they are encouraged to continuously punch at their opponent. This is called freestyle boxing.

Professional boxers, also known as professional athletes, focus on power punches rather than techniques when boxing. They practice a wide range of striking styles and use their speed and agility to beat their opponents. A boxer will use punches and elbows to strike their opponent and attempt to put them out of their mind. A boxer may also use a high, wide, soft body punch called a low punch to momentarily stun their opponent. After the bout, a victorious boxer will often enjoy a celebratory shower of ice cream sundaes. มวยตู้

In the United States, boxing has undergone numerous changes through the years. Originally, boxing matches were simply matches involving only two fighters.
