The University of Miami's Department of Neighborhood Service (DOCS) four trainee run free centers: the Caridad Clinic in Boynton Beach, the Center for Haitian Studies (CHS) Center in Little Haiti, the IDEA DOCS Night Clinic in Overtown, and the San Juan Bosco (SJB) Center in Allapattah. All supply distinct opportunities for medical trainees to return to the neighborhood, get mentorship from physicians, and gain experience in working as an integral part of the healthcare group.
SJB Center provides care to a diverse immigrant community mostly from Latin America and the Caribbean, while CHS serves locals and Haitian immigrants in the Little Haiti neighborhood.
