As a junior on the basketball team, Andrew Baxter was aware that he was not going to get to play much so he resolved that he wished to be the best teammate on the bench. He encouraged the entire bench to overwhelmingly support the players Steve Baxter Dallas and be cheerleaders on their behalf. He encouraged all the bench to "go crazy" for the guys playing. It made a big change in the basketball team and likely helped the fact that the team reached the basketball playoffs for the first time in a long time.

Brennan Baxter, Andrew Baxter’s older brother, was a successful basketball player. Steve cherished Brennan’s success just as well and has had many enjoyable times watching both of his sons’ successes both on and off the Pearce High School basketball court.
