Platelet rich plasma

from web site

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma; this is a concentration of platelets (thrombocytes) obtained from your own blood. These platelets contain numerous growth factors that activate skin regeneration. It stimulates collagen and elastin under the skin, which leads to natural rejuvenation of the skin and regeneration of the lower skin tissue. On the scalp, PRP therapy increases blood vessels in the area of the hair roots. Hair growth is stimulated through the improved blood circulation and supply of nutrients.

How does PRP therapy work?

Blood is drawn from a vein in the arm with prp tubes and then immediately centrifuged and treated using a special procedure. The concentrate obtained in this way is superficially applied to the skin by means of so-called mesotherapy. In addition, microneedling usually takes place afterwards, which ensures better distribution of the PRP and also has a skin-rejuvenating and growth-stimulating effect.

How is the tolerance?

Since it is autologous blood, the treatment is very well tolerated. Side effects or allergic reactions are not known. Since the substances are only applied superficially, the treatment is practically not painful.

What can be treated?

PRP is used for wrinkles and for freshening up the skin in almost all areas, e.g. B. on the face, neck, décolleté and hands. It can also be used successfully for hair loss on the scalp.
