LG's magical-looking rollable OLED TELEVISION formally called the LG Signature OLED R has been nearly a truth for years. Weding flexible glass and OLED innovation to segmented circuitry and a stylish base that houses the TELEVISION when not in use, it's difficult to overstate how very cool the Rollable OLED TV is in individual.

And it now has an aspirational rate to match. In 2018 we called LG rollable OLED jaw-dropping, and were giddy at rumors that it would go on sale in 2019. (It did not.) We got our first genuine hands-on with the set in 2019, and were delighted to hear it would be being available in 2020.

T3 reports that the LG Rollable OLED is going to begin selling in the UK for 99,999. Whether that means we'll be getting the LG Signature OLED R in the U.S. for the formerly believed $100,000 or the $138,000 that the British price would be in U.S. dollars is yet another unanswered question.
But with a possible rate varying from approximately $90,000 to $160,000, I have actually got a great guess about how well it will sell. Just a month back, company publication Korea Joong, Ang Daily reported that South Korean sales of the rollable OLED had reached a grand overall of ten systems. In all of South Korea, with a population of more than 51 million, on LG's house grass, the most magical TV we've ever seen struggled to reach double-digit sales by the narrowest margin there is.
Or 150 grand. Or any place the rate of the LG Signature OLED R lands when it finally reaches shoppers stateside. In reality, when the wow factor diminished after the very first couple of openings and closings, I was struck by two thoughts. Initially, I believed "Wow, I hope you can turn it off without rolling it up, because that's a lot of waiting when you just want to enjoy TELEVISION." My reservation was "I wonder what the guarantee on this will be?"
