PRP - PLATE-RICH PLASMA

from web site

Regeneration of the body thanks to the body's own regenerative abilities is no longer known only from the pen of science-fiction authors. Thanks to the successful work of scientists and doctors, the use of blood plasma is becoming more and more widespread. Treatment methods in which our body is healed by its own cells and tissues are used, for example, in alopecia or in cosmetic surgery.

IN WHICH FIELDS IS PLASMA USED?

USE OF PLATELET-RICH PLASMA IN CORRECTIVE DERMATOLOGY

PRPs are used more and more often in plastic surgery, especially in combination with other techniques, for example in the correction of eyelids, correction of circles under the eyes or filling of facial lines, skin revitalization. It can also be used to improve the healing of scars and other deformities.

USE OF PLATELET-RICH PLASMA IN DERMATOLOGY

The method is successfully used to revitalize hair roots. In alopecia, it is used in so-called androgenic alopecia. In which there is hair loss and thinning and loss of hair growth. It is a hereditary matter. Male sex hormones are responsible for it. Their increased amount affects the hair roots. These thin and move closer to the upper layers of the skin. This shortens the growth time of the hair and reduces its quality. Hair is more susceptible to adverse effects and dies and falls out sooner. However, this does not apply to all hair without distinction. Some are more sensitive to the effects of the male sex hormone, so baldness appears in characteristic places. Androgenic alopecia is not just a male problem. We also find male sex hormones in every woman's body. The PRP method is the most suitable for androgenic alopecia.

PRINCIPLE OF THE METHOD

The principle of treatment is the application of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to the affected tissue. Plasma contains growth factors, which are soluble proteins, cytokines. These act as biological mediators that regulate key phases in connective tissue tissue repair and mimic the physiological process of tissue repair.

PLASMA PROCESSING

Approximately 20 ml of venous blood is taken from the sterile cautery from the patient in prp tubes, from which 2-5 ml of platelet-rich plasma is obtained by centrifugation under precisely specified conditions in a specially prepared test tube.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

The main advantage of the method is that the body does not have to take in any artificial substances and materials and there is no risk of subsequent complications, allergies or contamination. PRP is also a source of basic growth factors, so the procedure actually replicates the natural regenerative processes of healing and repair of damaged tissue.

IS PLASMA THERAPY SAFE?

Yes, the method is very well tolerated, because the working tissue is the body's own and no pharmacological agents are added to the preparation. The whole process of blood collection and processing takes place on an outpatient basis. The method is very natural and natural.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE MULTIPLE METHODS AT ONCE?

PRP is used in our workplace interdisciplinary, the aim is to achieve a combination of treatment methods and cell therapy to achieve the best possible state of health and at the same time slow down the natural aging process of the organism or compensate for its temporary disharmony.

WHAT CAN BE THE SIDE EFFECTS?

Although not common, risks include signs or symptoms associated with the injection, including pain, infection, persistent symptoms, worsening of symptoms, blood clots, nerve injury, skin discoloration, calcification, scarring, fat loss in the affected area, and allergic reactions. This may include minor pain, reddening of the skin, loss of fat at the injection site. However, these medications are minimized if administered correctly by the treating physician.

HOW FAST DOES THE HEALING EFFECT START?

Unlike traditional treatment methods, PRP can help restore the functioning of affected areas. As it is not a medicine, but a treatment with one's own body, the PRP method is not conceived as a quick remedy. PRP therapy is a longer-term process that requires time and rehabilitation. However, patients undergoing this treatment can expect significant results and improvements, PRP accelerates and shortens the healing process of healing acute, chronic and degenerative diseases, slows down aging, helps the growth of hair follicles, improves attachment pain. Initial studies of the effectiveness of treatment on the tennis elbow showed a significant reduction in pain in 81% of patients. This improvement persisted in 93% of patients for up to 3 years.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE PROCEDURE AND HOW DOES IT TAKE PLACE?

The patient should first consult a physician and undergo all necessary examinations to determine the correct diagnosis. Based on the results of the examination, the doctor may recommend treatment for PRP. It is also advisable to adjust the diet and follow the drinking regime. Preparation and application of the injection takes approx. 1 hour. Depending on the patient's condition, it may be desirable to repeat the procedure up to 3 times. It is always important to follow the instructions of the attending physician. Six weeks before administration, patients should consult their physician regarding authorized medications.

HOW SHOULD I TAKE CARE OF THE INJECTION SITE AFTER TREATMENT?

Initial application of PRP may cause mild nausea. Therefore, patients are advised to arrange for home transportation after the procedure. For local calming, we recommend to ice the area as needed. After one week, medical rehabilitation or physiotherapy can be started on the recommendation of a doctor. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to lidocaine or bupivacaine.
