Quaker Harvest is one of the many fine breakfast cereals available from Masterfoods International. The cereal is made of oats, brown rice and whole grain oats. There are eight grams of fiber per serving which makes this a very high fiber cereal. There are twenty-one vitamins and twenty-one minerals per serving which makes this a complete food. There are also fourteen grams of protein per serving and it is one of the higher protein foods. There are eight grams of fiber per serving, which is good.

There are two brands of Quaker Harvest Crunch and they are the Gold Label and the Silver Label. I chose the Gold Label, because I have had trouble finding other high quality cereals with as much fibre, granular sweetener and protein. The cereal comes in four flavors namely; the original flavor, strawberry shortcake, banana split, blueberry cranberry and chocolate cranberry.

The nutrition facts on the box indicate that there are over nineteen nutrients per serving and that includes nineteen grams of protein, three grams of complex carbohydrate, three grams of fiber and three grams of sugar. I was happy to find that there is a chewable version of the crunchy cereal and this is great because not everyone likes cereal or snacks that are not completely chewable. I usually end up wanting to make another cup of the delicious and nutritious granola.


The main ingredient, oats, is an excellent addition to a healthy diet. It is loaded with fiber and is a good source of dietary calcium. The nutritional facts also indicate that it has twenty-one vitamins including eighteen vitamin A, B, C and E which are good to know especially in regards to dieting and nutrition. There are no trans fats or vegetable fats in this delicious snack.

I was pleased that there is a zero calorie yogurt as well which I can eat on its own without adding any other foods. For something different, try adding some fresh sliced cherry tomatoes or a pear.

The Quaker Harvest Crunch comes in four flavors and is made from a combination of soy fiber, brown rice and almonds. The crunch contains gluten free corn, pinto beans and fresh bran. The bran is one of the healthy ingredients that helps you lose weight because it is a good source of dietary fiber.

If you like the taste of granola or the texture of the traditional oatmeal bread, you will love the Quaker Harvest Crunch. If you are watching your sugar intake, the cereal does contain three grams of sugar per serving and two of those grams are in the form of bran. For all of these reasons, I would recommend Quaker Harvest Crunch to anyone looking for a good tasting but nutritious cereal that can help them lose weight.
