Sid Meier's Starships, a narrative role-playing game that is crew-based and turn-based, allows you to take part in actual Ship missions to earn money or bonuses. Each of the eight playable factions have their own unique Ship building abilities, which give them different advantages over each other in battles. As you progress through the narrative, you'll also be able to unlock more advanced Ship abilities, which can prove to be an immense help in your missions.
Sid Meiers' Starships tells the story of you as the admiral of a fleet that spans the entire planet. Your mission is to lead your fleet and fulfill the roles of each member of your crew. You have the option to choose from eight races, each with its own storyline and Ship building abilities. This allows you freedom to mix and match races, and allows you the ability to choose different Ship classes for your tactical missions. Although the story is excellent, it is lacking in content and some areas that could use a lot more polish.
There is very little content about Sid Meiers' Starships: Civil Wars. You can use two Maneuver skill to move your crew over the battle field to the other side and call in your starships. Two new weapons have been added in the tech tree: the boarding and ion cannon. The boarding gun allows your science ships speedily board enemy ships and enter for more boarding action. The ion cannon, on the other hand, deals out massive damage in a single blast, making it a very powerful weapon in the right hands.

Two new playable star types were also added to the game: The Archaeologist Ship. The Archaeologist, a space marine archaeologist searching for lost technology on Sid Meiers III, is a type of archaeologist. They will search the planet's surface for ancient artifacts in the hope of unlocking the secrets of the universe. The Archaeologist Ship has a formidable Gatling Gun, which they will use to fire at enemy vessels and decimate their crew.
Sid Meiers' Starships: Civil War is an exciting, fast-paced turn-based strategy game you can play either single-player or multiplayer. The single-player campaign lets you battle against a Sid Meier civilization and the competition. The multiplayer battles pit your wits against the randomly generated empires that are thrown at you. The online forum gives you access to tips and strategies for the single player game, and you can use the forum to post your questions about the game and leave feedback for the developers. Both versions of the game allow players to design their own starships and customize their personal histories, as they navigate their customizable starships through dangerous waters.
