After the introduction, the student should continue with the main topic of the essay. He/she should use the essay as a guide in presenting his/her argument on the topic. This is where the role of the essay comes in. The essay is used as a tool in supporting the points that the student wants to show during the discussion time.

Next is the conclusion. In writing the conclusion of the essay, the student should summarize everything that he/she has said during the whole class discussion. The conclusion is a chance for the student to thank everybody who was helpful throughout the semester and to express his gratitude to the teacher who gave him this chance to do research on the topics. He/She should also express his/her plans for the future. Finally, he/she should sign his/her name to the end of the essay. Signing the essay would mean acknowledging the writer and his/her responsibility in writing the essay.
