Essay

"The Cry of the Deserving Country" is an essay written by Kevin O'DONNE. It was published in the journal National Review, and obviously paid tribute to all those who died in the line of fire during the war. Although I don't much care for war, I respect those who lost their lives. I also happen to think that many people die for a country's ideals... or at least have been martyred to serve it. The essay is well-written, extremely articulate, and it nails the point that we should be grateful for all those who did not die in vain. Indeed, I hope everyone will please consider this.

Many people believe that the United States is a perfect country and would not cry for its enemies. But is America perfect? Would it be better if our nation were filled with unwavering die-hard Americans who believed in their Country's values? And could we ever forgive those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms that we enjoy? These are some good questions.

As a former teacher, I did not learn to cry until I was fired as an English teacher. Luckily, I have since been able to overcome the handicap of not being able to cry for anything. That does not mean that others cannot. We all need to grow up a little and have the courage to cry when we need to. Some may think that writing a racist essay is not really that big of a deal. You might be right, but you might also be wrong if you do not read a bit of literature on the subject.

Allowing yourself to write an essay about the US, its great history, its flaws and virtues, and its greatness is not so different than allowing yourself to write about India, China, or any other country. There is no shame in the fact that one wants to learn more about another culture. Sometimes students are forced to read about other countries that they are interested in. This helps them develop a better understanding of the world and others. This is the same as reading a poem about China or India can help you understand other cultures.

Of course, there would be those who are not interested in learning about another country at all. visit the next site would probably be rather disgusted by such a notion. However, I disagree. While it is true that many Americans are interested in learning about other cultures, it is also true that many Americans have no interest in learning about another culture. Whether or not this is a personal failing or the result of our schooling system should be looked into.

A good way to get around the "racism" problem is to read a poem about the US, read a piece about India, watch a movie about Mexico, listen to an essay about Germany, or read an article about Taiwan. These things will not offend or embarrass anyone. They will help you learn more about the world. This is much better than cry the Racist Country essay. Instead of getting offended, you will gain insight into how we as a country act and think.

If you want to cry for the United States, cry for the good American citizens who fight for their freedoms every single day. Do not cry for the flag. Although it is a symbol of a past nation, I doubt many Americans want to remember that. Instead cry for the freedoms that you and your ancestors fought for. Remembering all the great things you were allowed to do is a great comfort.

To conclude, I am not saying that Americans are inherently racist. Of course, some are, but the vast majority of us are not. Therefore, I do not believe that cry the Racist Country essay is a wise way to go. Instead, I think it is a good way to learn about how humans act when compelled to think. After all, this is one of the most important lessons in life.
