ibuprofen

"I took 2021 mg of ibuprofen and started to feel awful." You've likely been told that ibuprofen is great when you have a headache. The pain relieving ability has caused you to keep on using it long after the headache is gone. But did you know that ibuprofen can also cause you to have a dull, persistent pain in your shoulder?

I'm not a doctor, but I'm an ex-rugby player. I played tackle every Sunday for eight years, and every year after that, my shoulders hurt. I used to get a pain in each arm and each shoulder when I threw a ball. My doctors thought I was having minor pinched nerve damage, so they put me on some ibuprofen to take care of the symptoms.

It worked for a little while, but the dull ache in my arms and shoulders kept coming back. I wasn't sure if it was just the pain relieving effect of ibuprofen that was keeping the symptoms away. After about six months of taking the ibuprofen, the dull ache got worse. I started to miss games and grind my teeth when I got out of bed. My shoulders started hurting when I ran.

My stomach started hurting as well, so I figured this must be what was causing the pain when I took ibuprofen and started to have a pain in my shoulders. I went to my doctor, and he diagnosed my pain as GERD. He also diagnosed me with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, or COPD. That's why I took ibuprofen.

This disease is very serious and makes it hard for people to do daily activities. When you are sick like this you tend to become depressed. You may think that you are doing something wrong and not doing enough to prevent your pain. But when you are taking medication for a chronic condition, you can't do things the way you used to.

When I started having symptoms of GERD, I started to cut down on my activities that I enjoyed. I stopped going to the gym and did just the opposite by going out more and exercising more. I started to take a walk every day instead of going to the gym. My favorite activity now is hiking since I started to cut down on my activities that made me feel sick.

I started to talk to my doctor more and started to see why I was getting these symptoms. Once I understood what was causing my symptoms, I could figure out how to prevent them or at least minimize them. The next step was to figure out what was causing my pain. Once I found out what was causing my GERD, I could lessen the effects of the medications I was taking and eliminate my GERD symptoms.

I took 2021 mg of ibuprofen and started to feel better in a couple days. Within 2 weeks I was feeling good. I still have some pain from my surgery but it is tolerable. I still take my Ibuprofen though because I don't like to depend on it to cure everything. I try to eat right and keep myself active so that I don't get bored. ibuprofen and prednisone recommend taking ibuprofen for GERD symptoms.

I did not start my "ceiling treatment" until my symptoms were about 50% gone. This was my third trip through ceiling therapy. It was recommended to me by my doctor. He said that if I kept doing what I was doing it would not only keep me from getting heartburn again, it would save my esophagus and stomach. After taking ceiling therapy for four months I stopped because I wanted to do something different.

My stomach started to hurt a lot more after I stopped taking it. I still have moderate pain in my stomach. I still wake up sometimes in the morning with a burning pain in my chest. I also have heart burn which is severe. The medication has really helped me out and I am starting to feel back to normal but I am still taking it for the long term.

If you are taking ibuprofen or any anti-inflammatory medication you need to watch your diet. The medicine is not effective unless you take it in the correct dosage. I didn't take my ibuprofen prescription seriously until I started to see my doctor. I now know that I must watch what I am eating and keep my blood pressure at a good level. If you are taking pain killers make sure you tell your doctor about any medications you are taking such as aspirin and other muscle relaxers.
