The city engineer's adoption and change of a list of relevant style and building standards shall remain in composing and shall be filed in the office of the city engineer. All such design and building standards shall be either professionally or nationally acknowledged or shall have been formerly adopted by the city of Poulsbo.

C. When it comes to any dispute between the standards adopted by the city engineer pursuant to subsection A of this area, the more restrictive standard will apply as identified by the city engineer. D. All construction and restoration shall abide by the standards recognized in subsection A of this area, unless variations or exemption to these requirements have been particularly authorized by the city board.
E. The standards that are recognized in this area are not to be construed as limiting the authority of the city of Poulsbo and its officials approved by any other regulation, statutory arrangement or other law. The city of Poulsbo and its officials maintain the authority to use any style or building and construction standards not adopted by the city engineer if otherwise licensed to do so.
