We were enjoying the drive a lot that we didn't stop, but the beaches at Scarborough and Misty Cliffs looked beautiful with white sand, blue-green sea, and kite web surfers flying over the waves. Misty Cliffs beach Noordhoek Noordhoek has another of those long white beaches that appear like the Caribbean (till you enter the freezing water).
The little town is set back from the beach. We wanted to have lunch at The Foodbarn but we arrived 10 minutes after they stopped serving at 2. 30pm. It becomes part of the Noordhoek Farm Village with a variety of shops and cafes, so we ate a great roast vegetable and goats cheese wrap at Coffee shop Roux instead.
