We provide services beyond the air freight carrier terminal. On request, we can provide you with an onboard courier service, by which your goods will be brought up to the aircraft. Most of these are small consignments that can sometimes fit into your hand luggage. Whether they are components or spare parts for machines, or luxury goods: your goods are monitored by the onboard courier throughout the flight to ensure they reach their destination on time and intact. We either take care of the transportation of your goods to the final destination or your customer takes the goods over directly at the airport.
Temperature-controlled goods: active and passive cooling
Cooling temperature-controlled goods involves active and passive cooling.
By using active cooling, your cold-sensitive products remain at a constant temperature throughout the entire transportation route. This might be maintained by setting a temperature specification of, say, +15 to +25 degrees Celsius.
Passive cooling of a shipment is possible, depending on the product and its packaging. It is nevertheless only guaranteed during the flight and in the airport warehouse that the temperature is maintained. Despite the shipment being transported on a temperature-controlled vehicle to the aircraft, delays on the tarmac might mean that the temperature cannot be maintained.
