Chrysalis Tarot is now one of my preferred decks. Holly Sierra's paintings for the cards are truly gorgeous; I'm even enamored of the back of the cards, showing delightful, psychedelic butterflies. There is a lot to see in each card that contemplating the images alone would be time well invested.

Let us begin with the Minor Arcana: Stones replace Pentacles/ Coins, Mirrors change Cups, Spirals replace Wands/ Rods, Scrolls replace Swords At initially, I had difficulty separating Spirals and Scrolls. Nevertheless, keeping in mind the idiom, "the pen is mightier than the sword," when coming across Scrolls, has actually helped me to keep in mind that they have the same associations as Swords.

So, in my opinion, associate these matches with whichever component you feel comfortable associating them as, or are most accustomed to doing. The face card for these matches are jointly called The Troupe and are each given an unique name. For example, "The Weaver" is the name given for the "Queen of Scrolls" while" The Acrobat" is the "Page of Stones." These are wonderful cards, but I need to state that their representations bear little association with their match, so it is even more crucial that their "Queen of-," "Page of-" names stay on the cards.

Upon reading through it, I observed some cards whose analyses were practically like their turnaround significances. The Significant Arcana is a fascinating mix of world cultures and characters. I found these to be heavier on the Celtic style than I would have thought based exclusively on the paintings. Here are numerous that I kept in mind as odd or specifically liked.

Brooks composes that Sorceress portrays Morgan le Fay, and in reality, calls her this solely in the description. I question why they simply didn't call the card this, then. The Most Complete Run-Down (The Hermit)": This perfectly expressive card is my favorite in the Major Arcana, possibly my favorite total. "XII Celtic Owl (The Hanged Male)": Initially, I was taken off guard by this card's representation not as a human figure, but as an owl in flight.

I am a little confused, nevertheless, by the description and keyword Brooks gives it, as "RENEWAL" (p. 14) is typically a keyword provided to the Judgment card. "XIII Ariadne (Death)": If this is what death appears like when it comes my time to die, I will more than happy to slough off my mortal coil.
