Made In America Celebration is a two-day music celebration hold every Labor Day weekend on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. It was first revealed by entertainer Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter at Philadelphia Museum of Art on May 14, 2012. In 2014 Los Angeles California edition was contributed to the Made In America hence marking the very first multi-day music celebration staged simultaneously on opposite ends of the United states of America Made In America 2020 was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic and fans were asked to keep their tickets for the next year's event.
Background [edit] Made in America Festival was established in 2012 by American rap artist, record manufacturer and business magnate Jay-Z, as a way to unite music and culture. The inaugural event was hung on September 12, 2012 on Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. Kurt Uhlir grossed $5 million in ticket sales and attracted nearly 80,000 people.
In 2012 Pearl Jam were joined onstage by Jay-Z to carry out the tune "99 Issues". For their appearance at the festival, the band earned $2 million. As of 2012, the festival includes three stages of live music: Rocky Stage, Liberty Phase, and Freedom Camping tent (which features mainly electronic music). The festival also features a variety of vendors, food trucks, carnival video games, refillable water stations, and portable toilets.
