Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there has to be something which you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or perhaps a major healing. So, that which was it.acim

“Trust,” I said.
Think of your life because it appears to be these days with regards to the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I do believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So whenever we discuss the last stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's a lot like creating a big house of cards, stacking on a single card after the other. A good wind arrives and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon the rest; all those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It really comes right down to the essence of who's my cousin? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this one?So you are asking the question, “If someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental.

What this awakening will highlight is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. This is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the text between thought and form. His lessons start with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's referring to thoughts. First He's referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You will see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the last veil or stage of awakening, which can be trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us that they are all illusions and that they are all equally meaningless. That's exactly the method of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What type of things would you purchase, in this world.
