Here's a story about my excursion to the Arctic on a boat. It sounded amazing, National Geographic journey thru the ice, then back with polar Bears, and many more animals. It would be ice everywhere eyes could see , and snow everywhere. Man-made machinery was set to battle the elements, and cut through the northern desert that was frozen. It sounded like an immense undertaking, a grand battle with the weather and the pole.

I was told to pack the maximum amount of technology I could into my luggage. I was able to fit my laptop, as well as an extra large screen to increase my working space. I was informed that electricity was not a problem. I wasn't quite aware of what was going to take place. Two days into my 14-day adventure I didn't know that my Internet connection would stop working and that I would disappear for the remainder of 10 days. Then it happened, and I was shocked. Every trip should not, however challenging or remote, cause me to be disconnected from the technological world. I didn't plan for the downtime, not only did I have an unfinished project that I needed to address over the next week, but I also had other things I had to accomplish.

Nowadays, people don't care if they are forced to be offline. Internet is all around even in the case that your home network has problems there are plenty of nearby McDonalds which offer free WiFi access. Even better, you can take your laptop to Starbucks to relax at a table and surf the Internet whenever you want to. There's no place or café that will help further north, and a few hours from the nearest shack, with electricity produced by an ineffective generator.. There isn't any internet service that is free anywhere. Two alternatives are available in these situations: go offline and bring satellite internet.

I am unable to afford a satphone, it is expensive, especially for Internet. https://www.onlinevideoconverter.party/ The next time I'll have an extensive audio and video collection before I venture out into the dark side of. The last time I was on the road, I had two tracks. They were both downloaded in a slow manner back then, so I was limited to 3 jazz songs and a famous song I didn't even know the name of. It's that simple. Four songs for two weeks of nothingness. If I knew this would be the case, I would have prepared. clip converter cc I would have loaded my laptop with TV shows, as well as music videos. I would listen to my favorite podcasts for hours. It's simple to download the podcasts, convert them to MP3 and save them on my computer. Then I can just relax in my bed and listen to whatever I like to listen to at home but don't have time to. It would be my gold hour and would have been two weeks' worth of gold. But, it ended up being two weeks of looking at a ceiling , and then sprinting to catch passengers when there was a sound from the corridors.

Both metaphorically and literally In both ways, the trip was empty. Never have I ever been so bored. The ice was way too thick. I was aware that this was likely to cause problems. Therefore, the boat had to turn around and come back to the shores of civilization. This was not unexpected. However, hours upon hours of idle time could have easily been listening to podcasts, watching DIY videos on repairs at home, or just enjoying music. Next time I'll convert YouTube videos to mp4 and MP3 formats using my laptop. Don't be depressed music is always uplifting your spirits. It is possible to download Netflix and Hulu movies onto your phone to watch offline. They can also be carried along on the long journey across the arctic. It is not a good idea to spend your time in boredom. Best of luck!
