Requirements to be fulfilled are as follows: 

  • The applicant must have been present in the UK for ten years prior to applying for indefinite leave to remain.

 

  • The applicant must not be absent from the UK for more than two years at any given time during the ten-year period.

 

  • The applicant must not be absent from the UK for more than five years at any given time during the nine-year period.
