Are You Ready to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there should be something which you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something which triggered a transformation or perhaps a major healing. So, what was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Think about your lifetime as it seems to be in this world when it comes to the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I do believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So whenever we talk about the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in all of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's similar to creating a big house of cards, stacking on one card after the other. Then the good wind occurs and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary.

It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in everything else; those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It surely comes down to the essence of who is my buddy? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this 1?So you're asking the question, “When someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all this is heading is always to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening can tell you is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination. This really is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons start off with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it's for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number 4, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's speaking about thoughts. First He's speaking about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You will see he's attempting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time for you to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. a course in miracles authors He uses symbols to instruct us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What sort of things would you invest in, in this world?
