Are You Prepared to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles out there, but there should be something that you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, what was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Think about your life since it seems to be in this world in terms of the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So when we speak about the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's kind of like creating a big house of cards, stacking using one card following the other. A good wind comes along and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in everything else; all those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments.authors a course in miracles

Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It certainly comes right down to the essence of who's my buddy? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this one?So you are asking the question, “If someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading is always to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. This really is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons start out with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it's for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number four, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now,

He's speaing frankly about thoughts. First He's speaing frankly about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You will see he's attempting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time for you to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back to that particular timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things. What kind of things would you purchase, in this world?
