Happy Mid Autumn Festival Wishes!

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for family and friends to get together and celebrate. It is also a time to give thanks for the harvest and to enjoy the beauty of the autumn season.

Wishing you all the happiness that this special occasion can bring!

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival celebrated by ethnic Chinese and Vietnamese people. The festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with full moon at night, corresponding to late September to early October of the Gregorian calendar with a full moon at night.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four most important Chinese festivals. It is a time for family reunion, as people who are working away from home will try to come back for the occasion. It is also a time to give thanks for the harvest, and to enjoy the fruits of one’s labor.

Traditionally, on this day, people will eat mooncakes. Mooncakes are round or square pastries, filled with lotus seed paste, red bean paste, or other sweet fillings, and often with a salted duck egg yolk in the center. The mooncakes are usually eaten in small wedges, washed down with tea.

In recent years, the Mid-Autumn Festival has become a more commercialized holiday, with a focus on gift-giving, particularly of mooncakes. However, the traditional aspects of the festival, such as the eating of mooncakes and gathering of family and friends, are still very much alive and celebrated.
