Hawaiian Airlines recently changed its flight change policy and has now eliminated the change fee from Main Cabin Basic passengers.

These are some highlights of Hawaiian Airlines' new flight change policy:

• For flight changes to Main Cabins or higher fares, there is no change fee.
• For flight changes made to award tickets purchased using HawaiianMiles points, there is no change fee.
• COVID-19 Travel WaiversHawaiian Airlines COVID-19 travel waivers are available for all types of tickets including award tickets purchased using HawaiianMiles or Main Cabin Basic tickets.
• If your ticket was purchased between March 1st and December 31, 2020,
• Your ticket's validity has been extended by 2 years from the date you purchased it.
• Rebooking your flight within its extended validity period is free of charge. However, you will be responsible for any difference in fare. The difference in fare will not be credited to you account if the new fare is less expensive.
• You can travel between March 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021 if you bought your ticket prior to March 1, 2020
• Your ticket's validity has been extended to May 31, 2022
• Rebooking your flight will be free up to May 31, 2022. After that date, you will need to pay any difference in fare. The difference in fare will not be credited to you if the new fare is less expensive.
• You can purchase your ticket online or through a travel agent.
• These conditions will still apply as mentioned above.
• To rebook your flight, you must contact them directly.

Hawaiian Airlines Flight Policy Change for Main Cabin Basic Fares

Hawaiian Airlines has a policy regarding flight changes for Main Cabin Basic fares.

• A Main Cabin Basic ticket cannot be changed.
• You can cancel a Main Cabin Basic ticket within the risk-free 24-hour cancellation period and then rebook.
• Before you check in, you cannot choose a seat.
• A Main Cabin Basic ticket cannot be upgraded to a Preferred, Extra Comfort, Business, or First Class seat.

Hawaiian Airlines Flight Change Policy under Medical Waiver

You may be eligible for a waiver of the change fee on a Main Cabin Basic flight if you need to cancel your flight due to illness or injury. You can cancel or change your flight online, or by telephone.

You will need to use the following steps to change your flight online and rebook it later:

• Fill out a Request for Medical Waiver.
• Share a scanned copy of the above-mentioned form with HawaiianAirlines.com/CAO.

Hawaiian Airlines will approve your request and refund your change fee within 30 days.

How to change a Hawaiian Airlines flight

Hawaiian Airlines flight change policy states that you need to:

• First, cancel your flight online or by calling.
• Contact Hawaiian Airlines Reservations to rebook your ticket before it expires. You cannot cancel online.

Note. You will need to pay the fare difference if applicable when you rebook your ticket. The fare difference you pay for a cheaper fare will not be credited back to your account.

Hawaiian Airlines Flight Change Fee

Hawaiian Airlines' flight change policy is:

• Hawaiian Airlines has removed the change fee from all Main Cabin Basic fares. You will no longer be charged a change fee for Main Cabin, Business Class and First Class tickets. You will not have to pay a change fee to any award ticket you purchased through HawaiianMiles.
• Refund fees for restricted refundable fares are:
• USD 25 for neighbouring islands
• USD 100 for North America flights
• International flights: USD 100
• Members of Pulani Platinum or Gold, as well corporate passengers, have the right to request same-day standby changes for neighbor islands flights.
• Tickets for Main Cabin Basic are non-refundable and cannot be changed.
