Gustavo Petro was confirmed as the candidate on Sunday. He has been marking the polls for several weeks, displaying favoritism.

(Position of Candidates to the Historic Pact On Pensions and Inflation).

The former mayor of Bogota and former senator of the Republic managed to win the victory within the Historic Pact coalition and officially becomes a candidate for Presidency of the Republic, a position that he hopes to attain for the third time.

The high percentage of votes he received during the consultation will make him the most representative of the Colombian Left and is a strong potential presidential candidate despite controversial proposals and ideas on multiple fronts such as the economic one.

Petro has stated that he plans to change the pension system via the establishment of a public manager for pension funds. Petro also plans to establish a system which is "mixed-and-complementary" with private funds.

He stated that Colombia has no pension system, but rather a system of bank profit. This is what people believe makes Petro the most likely choice for the president. Petro has recently said, however, that he wouldn't abolish pensions, but would try to overhaul the system of pensions in Colombia in order achieve an adequate level of pensions for Colombians. gustavo petro Petro also stated that it is not required to raise the age at which pensioners can retire.

Another topic of contention is that he's repeatedly said that he would cease oil extraction as soon as he assumes office. This has created confusion among investors and also among the market as a whole.

Experts believe Petro's plan for Colombia to end oil exploration could cause a loss of $4.3 billion.

This proposal also includes the establishment of an anti-oil force throughout the region and around the globe which will assist in moving the economy away fossil fuels. I would like to invite Gabriel Boric, the new Chilean president, as well as Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, the Brazilian vice president.

Petro claimed that he's spoken with Pedro Sanchez, the Prime Minister of Spain, about his idea.

His health policy has been controversial because the president insists on stopping EPS and replacing it with a preventive care model that "guarantees individuals' rights, not the bankers' profit".

He also questioned the autonomy of Banco de la Republica, and stated that he will also change the institution in the event of becoming President.

Petro declared that the Bank Board of Directors belongs to the Democratic Center. Accordingly, the candidate at the center of a debate said "What do we need? petro gustavo An independent Bank of the Republic (...) It's to me crucial that the board of directors is a part of the Society."

Invamer claims that Petro is in charge of the voting intention for the presidential elections.

Petro's plans concentrate on a sustainable economy which doesn't rely on fossil fuels.

It is also noted that he would propose a tax reform that would remove exemptions, as well as change the definition and concept of minimum wage into an actual income-based wage. petro gustavo
