If you don't dabble in the NFL football betting activities during preseason then you are definitely missing out on a potential gold mine that can build up bankrolls for the regular year. A lot of people have grown a taste to NFL Football Betting during preseason, as no other time in any other sport do head coaches reveal player rotations and game plans beforehand and then more or less stick to them.

However, there are still a few people who refuse to bet on these exhibition games, not knowing that they are missing out on really great opportunities that do not present themselves during the NFL regular season, which has the sharpest lines of any sport.

Preseason games can be very similar to regular season games, but it is not a common mindset. You will see that some coaches like to win these games and some like to work on what are perceived to be team's weaknesses, and knowing which is which can help you bring in the fat bankroll in four weeks.
We will run down the coaches who like to win and who are actually expected to do well again this season, and we will also tackle the week-specific trends from the last 12 pre-seasons since 2000, because each week has its own characteristics.

For the coach that has the most career preseason wins, it's none other than Shanahan and he is 46-22 straight-up with the Denver Broncos and the Redskins combined. His teams are now 28-16-1 and 63.6 percent against spread since 2000, which is more important from a NFL football betting perspective. Last preseason, his Redskins were 3-1 straight up and ATS.

Tomlin, on the other side, is 16-5 straight in preseason since he became the Steelers' head coach in 2007. He also went 13-8 and 61.9 percent ATS during those games. Another thing that is notable about Tomlin, is his perfect 5-0 SU record and 4-1 ATS record in Pre-Week 4. This week is when most coaches don't allow their starters to be on the field.

Harbaugh is currently 11-5 SU and 9-7 ATS in his role as coach of the Ravens. He has a record of 10-2 on the field, and 8-4, 66.7% at the betting windows over the past three years. Schwartz wanted to install a winning attitude for his formerly hapless lions in preseason, so he is 10-2 SU and 9-3, 75.0 percent ATS ever since he took over in 2008, including a perfect 4-0 both SU an ATS with a good Lions' team last year.
