Launcher Installer Stuck

I downloaded MC from the official website. When I attempt to launch Launcher Installer, it starts with the message "Making things awesome" and the progress bar isn't moving. I tried closing it and trying to open it again. I've also tried deleting it and redownloading Minecraft from the official website. If that doesn't work, I'm trying Java edition.

The new launcher (released Nov 2) has issues that aren't resolved for many players.

Assuming that you own the game and aren't connected to GamePass download and install the Windows 7/8 launcher. It's what they call "the launcher" we've used for a long time. (Link)

If you wish to avoid the upgrade nag, simply click the old launcher shortcut and then set compatibility to Windows 8 on the Compatibility tab.

you are a life saver! It wouldn't install after I downloaded it. The same issue as the person who posted this. It worked!

PS: Scroll down the link to see an application launcher for Windows 7/8. Click it to download it. I am dumb, i kept downloading window 10/11 again and again.
