How can you get the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft for absolutely nothing! (Mojang News post)

It looks like this is an emergency post, however there seems to be no redeem button on the Mojang account page as of now. I'm assuming it'll be available tomorrow after the launch.

Edit: The redeem button is now accessible for me and many other people! You can look it up! http://i.imgur.com/9j8pupC.png

Works for me: http://imgur.com/km6PcRN

It's so tragic for their support department.

I get to the redeem button on Microsoft's account and billing page however, it says there's an error. Is there a deadline for redemption for this redemption?

Windows 10 is being rolled out "today"/"tomorrow" depending where you are. The button will be available at 12:01 Wednesday morning Sweden time.

There's no redeem button. minecraft pixelspark servers wait for tomorrow, though!

For those who need Windows 10:

Manual installation now available here

Direct Links:

32bit exe

64bit exe

If you have an addon which forces https, you must open it in the sense that the link is just http.

Instructions:

Download the software.

Run it and go through the steps and it will allow you to format a USB drive or disk to run the install.

Open the drive you have installed it on and then run the installer.

It will install automatically and then turn on.

You can also save an ISO for later but do an in place update first to ensure that your key is activated.

I have installed the beta and it is confirmed to be working and is free.

It was just delivered to me. It's amazing to see how optimized the game is. My computer's fans don't bother to start, and the CPU is almost completely idle all the time.

Are there differences in the gameplay?

It should work excellent on mobile devices so you can expect it to be just as excellent on PC.

It was just released. Singleplayer LOL: 2% CPU and 200mb #NEXTGEN There is a slight mouse delay, but it is stunning. We wish we could edit more settings, for example Mip-Mapping or AA. Textures get mushy after some distance, and the water glare can be a bit weird. Other than that, great port guys :) Now I can play with my Xbox friends .

There is a slight delay when the mouse's movement, but otherwise everything looks great

I've noticed the same issue mouse acceleration can be a bit off as well.

It's a rough port at this time. It runs on C++, so it runs super smooth. But needs some touching up to make it more appealing to the PC gamers. It's an app for mobile devices at the moment.

Forgive me if this seems like a dumb question But how do you get it? Did some users get Windows 10 earlier?
