How To Play Multiplayer Minecraft: Pocket Edition

from web site

plussoc The one and only

Playing Minecraft: Pocket Edition alone is plenty fun, but add some friends to your screen and it's even better. Here's how.

Multi-playing is not possible without the latest version of the game (0.12.1). It costs $6.99 USD.

Playing Minecraft Pocket Edition locally

Local play means that you can play locally with up to five of your friends, but only if you have the same Wi-Fi connection. Toggle the "Local Server Multiplayer” switch in your game settings.

First, choose the world you wish to play in. Next, load that game onto that person's device. This device will now be the host.

To allow your friends join, they need to tap "play", and then select the new (highlighted in blue), world that appears at their top.

That's it; they're in! Get ready to explore, dig, create, and chase creepers-whatever that is!

Connect to Minecraft Pocket Edition gaming servers

If you want to play with more players who are not on the same Wi-Fi connection, you might want to consider using servers.

Servers are online worlds that players around the world have created and which have been open to all players.

While most servers require registration, a few servers are open to all. The One And Only To find a server, try MinecraftPocket-Servers or Minecraft Pocket Edition Servers and browse for a world that you'd like to join.
