Hey, Marvin Harrison Jr. might be a little athletic.

Word of the Day: Unknown

QB CONTROVERSY? Folks, it appears that we might have ourselves an old-fashioned quarterback controversy.

Teradja Mitchell, Buckeye's linebacker, has been playing defense all his Ohio State career. He's shown incredible agility when he passes the ball downfield, so there's reason for concern that he might be switching to another position.

Aye Im coming @CJ7STROUD https://t.co/4MIkL1QcDX

A Heisman Trophy frontrunner or incumbent starter would not be at all concerned if someone has never played the position. Mitchell's tape left Stroud stunned and determined to fight for his job.

Im omw back to the woody right now to train, u throwing that thang not gon front https://t.co/CQDb47g1rU

Columbus has just made life more interesting.

CRY. Y'all won't believe it, but Dabo Swinney had something to complain about at his press conference at ACC Media Days.

Swinney is complaining about the criticisms he's getting from his fans after leading his team into its worst season since 2014. This suggests that some people want him fired after Clemson won 10.

Dabo Swinney

This is not true. Second, imagine any other elite coach -- Nick Saban and Ryan Day, hell even Jim Harbaugh -- going to his preseason media conference and making such statements. It would be a complete loss of mind for everyone.

I did it for the shits and giggles. They would have owed him $47.5 million in buyout money.

The job of the dude could not have been more dangerous. Buddy needs to stop complaining and coach football.

TRANSFER WINDOW. The wild wild west might be getting a little less wild soon as the NCAA is apparently implementing a specific window for players to enter the NCAA Transfer portal.

The Council also approved a concept that would remove the blanket ban on transfers more than once. The concept would also allow for transfer portal "entry window" periods, during which student-athletes must notify their school in writing of their transfer to be eligible to compete immediately.

Students could submit written notification of transfer for both winter and spring sports within 60 days of the NCAA championship selections. There would be two windows for fall sports. Each window would last 60 days. The first window would be 45 days beginning the day following championship selection and the second would be from May 1 to May 15. Reasonable accommodations will be made for participants in the Football Bowl Subdivision and Football Championship Subdivision championship games.
GAMES

On one hand, this makes all the sense in the world and it's also what pretty much every other sport on the planet does in some capacity.

On the other hand, this means we aren't going to see players take off their jerseys and enter the transfer portal in the middle of a game anymore, and if I'm being honest, that makes me just a little bit sad.

RIP THE TURNOVER CHAIN. Mario Cristobal, the new Miami head coach, is already making sure that The U has less fun next season.

The Miami Hurricanes are ditching the "turnover chain" for the 2022 season, first-year coach Mario Cristobal told the Action Network on Wednesday.

According to a tweet, Cristobal stated, "It is not part of our cultural heritage."

Miami's turnover chain, a 36-inch, 2.5-kilogram 10-karat gold chain that players wear after forcing a turnover, is an over-sized, 36-inch-long, 10-karat-gold chain. It has been in use by the school since the 2017 season's opening game.

To be clear, I don't like turnover props but I have always respected the Turnover Chain.

I don’t believe the "it’s just not part our culture” quote. The turnover chains were arguably the most Miami-related thing that has happened to the team since the Catholics and Convicts days.

SONG OF THE DAY. Soulja Boy - "Turn My Swag ON"

SPORTS IS NOT TO BE PASSIONATE. 'Strong smell' from a new apartment in S. Korea turns into human feces in walls... After a bad date, a woman sues a man for $10,000... DNA evidence from a cup at the airport led a 47-year-old murder case to an arrest... TVs are too good...
